Reviews 2020

'With this workshop - it’s highly likely you walk away with so much more than a handmade object, some new or improved skills and a belly full of laughter. Whilst it was a wonderful crafternoon, it was also a very good opportunity to connect with others, being in the moment and feeling welcome and accepted. Stimulating and positive conversation was exchanged - Adrienne made everybody feel at ease, she intuitively assisted her students when and where needed and offered extension for those who excelled. A perfect antidote - a fantastic feel good moment. Hands down 5 stars from me.' Gabby, East Warburton

Testimonials 2019

"We had a lovely relaxed workshop in the most gorgeous, lush surrounds- on a verandah overlooking the pristine Yarra in Warburton. Adrienne was a friendly and attentive host and teacher who delighted in sharing her skills and knowledge. Each student came away from the workshop with their own hand made basket and the skills and motivation to go home and make more. I really enjoyed this workshop- thanks Adrienne." East Warburton workshop.

" I had a really enjoyable class with Adrienne Kneebone at Coiled Basketry using Native Grasses..The energy of the experience was gentle and healing. I am happy to have learnt a new form of creative expression a as a result. I also enjoyed sharing a Sunday with other like - minded and differently -focused people. Adrienne was positive towards our skill, or lack of it ,and made us feel welcome and worthy. For me , basket weaving was meditative and therapeutic . I would be happy to recommend this experience and am happy with what I was taught and where i can go from there in my own creative journey. Thanks Adrienne. It was beautiful to meet you. I actually felt like I had known you already.. Sincerely , Rachael." Ceres Workshop

"Adrienne was a wonderful teacher, very patient and would explain method again and again till it was understood by students. The class had a good mix of basket making methods and I look forward to doing some more basketry in near future. Great group of ladies that made for an enjoyable day. Many thanks,Beryl." Tails of Displace

Venue: MAspace, Maurice Ave, Mallacoota

Details: The notion of belonging to place is explored in an exhibition of new works by Adrienne Kneebone in Tails of Displace.

James Baldwin stated: “The power to define the other seals one’s definition of oneself – who, then, in such a fearful mathematic is trapped?” By reflecting on the history of Indigenous and colonial Australia, Kneebone questions the power of assuming identity, the horror of fawning deception and the acceptance and honouring of truth. In her photography and fibre art, Kneebone brings up the notion of the intrusive takeover of this continent in the aptly titled Tails of Displace.
